Palestina 36. When it all began
Cinema Olimpia Tavarnelle Val di Pesa
The film "Palestina 36. When it all began" tells the story of Yusuf, a young Palestinian torn between life in his rural village and the city of Jerusalem, in 1936, at the start of the great Arab revolt against British colonial occupation. The film intertwines the stories of several characters, highlighting class tensions, Britain's political decisions, and the deep origins of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The screening is organized by the Rete per la Pace e i diritti umani di Barberino Tavarnelle in collaboration with Cinema Olimpia, as a sign of solidarity with the Palestinian people. An opportunity to reflect on a past that still marks the present.
