Calenzano dedicates four events to the bicentenary of the birth of Carlo Lorenzini, the Collodi who created Pinocchio, scheduled from 10 to 27 November 2026 between the CiviCa Biblioteca di Calenzano and the Teatro Manzoni. The series opens on Tuesday 10 November at 6 pm at the library with the dialogue "La figura, la vita e l'operato di Carlo Lorenzini, oltre Pinocchio", with Filippo Canali and Giuseppe Garbarino, founder and president of the association Pinocchio a casa sua. The following meetings broaden the focus to the life of the Florentine writer and his times. The initiative is promoted by the Comune di Calenzano, with free admission and recommended booking.
