Multidisciplinary project "Oltre le Mura | Beyond the Walls", promoted by the Fondazione Fabbrica Europa for contemporary arts ETS and part of the Autunno Fiorentino 2026. The project uses dance, music, orality, participatory practices and site-specific performances to enhance places, memories and relationships in the peripheral areas of the city. The core of the project is "WAX", a choreographic workshop by Chinese choreographer Er Gao that explores the history of wax fabric, connecting Indonesia, Africa, Europe and China. The journey culminates in a participatory performance and an installation at Manifattura Tabacchi. The program is completed by orality and movement workshops by Senegalese griot Badara Seck and a site-specific contemporary circus performance by the company Quattrox4 at the Gasometro del Pignone. All activities are free.
