Karaterzetà Seminar
Sala Margherita Hack, Viale Vanghetti 4
Organised by Comune di Greve in Chianti
On Saturday, October 24, 2026, the Margherita Hack Hall in Greve in Chianti hosts the free informational seminar of Karaterzetà, a project that combines karate and well-being for all ages. The meeting, sponsored by the Municipality of Greve in Chianti, is open to the public and dedicated to a different way of experiencing physical activity even after the age of 60. The program includes a theoretical presentation, a talk by Dr. Ornella Nervini, and a practical demonstration by students over 65 from the Empi Dojo. This is a type of karate adapted for the over-sixties, combining gentle gymnastics with no-contact karate techniques, with beneficial effects on balance, coordination, and social interaction.
