ATTO MELANI (1626–1714). La voce segreta del potere

From June 5 to August 30, 2026, the Biblioteca Labronica at Villa Fabbricotti hosts the exhibition "ATTO MELANI (1626–1714). La voce segreta del potere", dedicated to the famous castrato singer and diplomat from Pistoia who worked as a secret agent at the court of Louis XIV. The exhibition, curated by Monaldi&Sorti, presents original documents from the Melani archive preserved in the library: correspondence with popes, cardinals and ministers, encrypted letters from the 1676 conclave and other materials that reveal the network of intrigue and diplomacy woven by Melani in Baroque Europe. The tour is completed by the screening of the short film "Anatole France racconta Atto Melani".

Presentazione del video documentario "E i gabbiani non volano più", che ricostruisce il primo e più grande bombardamento della città di Livorno avvenuto il 28 maggio 1943. Il video, della durata di circa trenta minuti, è composto da oltre cento immagini d'epoca montate in un percorso narrativo finalizzato a documentare e divulgare la conoscenza di un evento di particolare rilevanza per la storia cittadina, raccontando le vicende di cittadini livornesi coinvolti dagli eventi bellici.

Domenica 27 settembre 2026, il quartiere della Venezia a Livorno ospiterà "Orientiamoci nella Venezia ed. 2026", una manifestazione promozionale di orienteering (corsa di orientamento) organizzata dall'A.S.D. Orilabronico. L'evento, patrocinato e compartecipato dal Comune di Livorno, si svolgerà dalle 09:30 alle 13:00 con partenza e arrivo in Piazza del Luogo Pio. Torna a Livorno la nona edizione di Livorno Photo Day, un appuntamento dedicato alla promozione e valorizzazione della cultura fotografica. Il programma, articolato in due giornate, prevede l'inaugurazione di una mostra fotografica, sessioni di lettura portfolio e di fanzine, talk tematici e la cerimonia di premiazione. La mostra fotografica resterà aperta al pubblico per una o due settimane a partire dal 20 febbraio.
