ECO/PLAY – Small live performance festival for the environment

Molazzana (LU)

From July 4 to September 4, 2026, the first edition of ECO / PLAY, a Small Live Performance Festival for the Environment, arrives. This new event brings together performing arts, landscape, and community in the most charming villages and places of Molazzana. Theatre, music, dance, and guided walks intertwine in a programme that turns the area into an open-air stage, from the Rio Molazzana Amphitheatre to the Teatro di Sassi, passing through the historic centre and the hamlets of Piglionico and Cascio. The festival offers events for everyone: it starts on July 4 with a theatrical walk, followed by performative treks, shows such as A Volo d’Angelo and Cani Lunari, the Gran Parata di Pulcinella, and a series of evening concerts in August and early September. Active participation forms and workshops complete a programme designed to engage the audience in unconventional ways.

Libri in Castello 2026

Molazzana (LU)

Libri in Castello is a literary festival that brings literature within the walls of the castle of Molazzana, with a series of afternoon meetings that enliven the town's summer. Writers present their works in an open dialogue with the audience, in a historical setting that makes each event a moment of sharing and discovery. The festival is promoted by the Municipality of Molazzana together with the Municipal Library and Tralerighe Libri, and is part of the 'A Community that Reads' project, supported by the Tuscany Region and the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Lucca. The goal is to bring citizens and students closer to reading, creating opportunities to meet prominent authors. For summer 2026, the program includes the participation of Leonardo Gori, Fabrizio De Luca, Alessandro Ricci and Alessandro Bertolucci, Elena Magnani and Andrea Giannasi. Each event is held at 6:00 PM, offering a pleasant opportunity to end the afternoon with culture.
