A corner of peace
Piazza Don Milani 1 (parco di Villa Giamari / Biblioteca Comunale "Bartolomeo della Fonte")
From 2 to 4 October 2026, Emergency volunteers return to Montemurlo with the campaign “Un cantuccio di pace”. In the historic park of Villa Giamari and in front of the “Bartolomeo della Fonte” municipal library, they will set up an information and fundraising stall: with a contribution, you can choose a pack of Scapigliati IGP Tuscan cantuccini, combining local pastry tradition with international solidarity. Each purchased pack supports the medical and humanitarian work of the association founded by Gino Strada, to guarantee free and quality care to war victims. A small concrete gesture to say no to war, in the sign of a sweet that tastes like home.
Hours: 09:00 - 18:30 Location: Historic park of Villa Giamari / Municipal Library "Bartolomeo della Fonte", piazza Don Milani 1, Montemurlo. Dates and times: Friday 2 October 9am-4pm, Saturday 3 October 9am-1pm, Sunday 4 October 2:30pm-6:30pm. Admission: free, contribution for purchasing cantuccini.
