The 30th edition of the Festival Nessiah, titled “In Praise of Discovery”, explores the relationship between Judaism, science and freedom of thought, with a focus on Rita Levi Montalcini 40 years after her Nobel Prize. The programme, running from 1 November to 10 December 2026, offers concerts, theatre, conferences, film concerts and educational initiatives in various locations in Pisa: Teatro di Sant'Andrea, Domus Mazziniana (Gipsoteca) and the Synagogue. The festival culminates on 10 December with a public event at the Synagogue of Pisa, on the occasion of the lighting of the seventh candle of Chanukkah. The initiative, promoted to enhance the Jewish presence in the area, aims at intercultural dialogue through music, word and ritual.
