- Exhibition
Biblioteca Forteguerriana, Pistoia
The Biblioteca Forteguerriana in Pistoia hosts the documentary exhibition "Atto Melani (1626–1714). La voce segreta del potere", on the occasion of the four hundredth anniversary of the birth of the famous castrato singer and international spy. The exhibition, open from October to December 2026, retraces Melani's adventurous life: from his musical career that took him to the court of Louis XIV to his intelligence activity that made him a key figure in 17th-century European diplomacy. Original documents and reproductions allow visitors to discover the figure of this illustrious native of Pistoia. The exhibition is free of charge during the library's opening hours.
