The exhibition brings almost ninety works out of the storage rooms of the Musei Civici di San Gimignano, including bronzes, majolica, paintings, drawings and prints, from the second half of the fifteenth century to the end of the twentieth century: recent acquisitions, donations and largely unpublished pieces, never exhibited before. The display, curated by Valerio Bartoloni, is divided into thematic sections and remains on view at the Complesso museale di Santa Chiara from 1 July 2026 to 28 February 2027. Alongside the exhibition, six thematic meetings, all on Saturdays at 4 pm, offer the chance to learn about the works and the sections together with the scholars who authored the catalogue. The exhibition is promoted by the Comune di San Gimignano with the Musei Civici and Opera Laboratori, in collaboration with the Soprintendenza Archeologia Belle Arti e Paesaggio for the provinces of Siena, Grosseto and Arezzo, the Fondazione Musei Senesi and the Rete del Contemporaneo in Toscana, under the patronage of the Regione Toscana and the Provincia di Siena.
