Teatro Verdi
Gianfelice Imparato brings to the stage one of the flagship plays of Neapolitan theatre: "Il medico dei pazzi", a hilarious comedy of errors by Eduardo Scarpetta. The story revolves around Felice Sciosciammocca, who pretends to be a doctor to cure his nephew's supposed madness, triggering a whirlwind of disguises, mistaken identities and paradoxical situations. The show, combining fast-paced rhythm and tradition, sees Imparato in the lead role, supported by a tight-knit cast that delivers all the verve of the original comedy. The direction enhances the comic timing and the Neapolitan setting, offering the audience an evening of pure entertainment. The event is part of the 2026/2027 theatre season of the Teatro Verdi in Santa Croce sull'Arno, confirming its focus on the great classics of the Italian stage.
