On Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 3:00 PM, the Sala dell'Incontro of the Convento del Bosco ai Frati hosts the presentation of the Percorso della Liberazione, a 12.5 km cycle-trekking itinerary with 13 stages between San Piero a Sieve and Galliano. The project, created by the Comitato 10 Settembre of the Pro Loco di San Piero a Sieve and winner of the memory call of the Tuscany Region, retraces the long summer of 1944: the Nazi-fascist occupation, the bombings, the first partisan formations, and the life of displaced families between the Fortezza Medicea di San Martino and the Convento di Bosco ai Frati. The itinerary is equipped with QR codes for in-depth information in Italian and English. The program includes institutional greetings, presentation of the stages, readings from the Diary of Arturo Santioli by Sandra Vigiani, and the awarding of the Pergamene della Memoria.
