Due ritratti pistoiesi di Giovanni da San Giovanni

For the first time, the public can admire two fresco tondi by Giovanni da San Giovanni, previously unknown to critics and from a private collection. The exhibition is set up at the Museo Civico d'Arte Antica di Pistoia, in Palazzo Comunale. The portraits depict two 16th-century painters from Pistoia, known as lo Scalabrino and Bernardino da Pistoia. Paired with contemporary works already in the museum, they offer a novel dialogue on local painting of the time. The inauguration is scheduled for Friday, March 27, 2026 at 5 PM, and the exhibition remains open until September 27, 2026.

Armonie in Villa is a cultural container that in Pistoia, from April to October, combines music, literature and live performances. The program includes various series: the Festival delle Pievi, the Literary Salon of Villa Magni, Favole in Piazza, Calici di Lirica and the Armonie in Villa Festival, the latter with concerts of classical, contemporary and klezmer music.
Exhibition 'Tra Marmo e Mare'

Eleven sculptures by contemporary international artists make up 'Tra Marmo e Mare', an open-air exhibition along the Viareggio seafront. The works are distributed in four locations: Terrazza della Repubblica, Giardino della Libertà, Piazza Mazzini and the Passeggiata (former Galleria Nettuno). The inauguration takes place on Saturday 25 April 2026 at 6 pm at Giardino della Libertà. The exhibition has been extended: the sculptures in Giardino della Libertà, Piazza Mazzini and the Passeggiata remain open until 15 January 2027, while those on Terrazza della Repubblica until 28 February 2027.

The Opera Laicale of the Cathedral of Chiusi presents 'ArTecnologia', a series exploring the dialogue between art and technology for the conservation of artistic heritage. From June 20 to October 20, 2026, the Museo della Cattedrale, the Cathedral of San Secondiano, and the Church of San Francesco host exhibitions, meetings, and presentations that intertwine contemporary languages and tradition. Highlights include the exhibition 'Vivere il silenzio' by Paolo Gubinelli, a meeting with poet Davide Rondoni, and a dialogue with Roberto Mussapi and Omar Galliani on the occasion of the reopening of the Church of San Francesco after restorations. The series concludes with the presentation of the digital survey of the Complesso della Concattedrale.

The floor of the Duomo di Siena, a masterpiece of marble inlay known as the 'Stone Bible', is exceptionally visible for the 'Il Sommo Bene' initiative. Normally protected and covered for most of the year, the floor is uncovered to allow the public to admire the details of the inlays up close, depicting biblical scenes, allegories of virtues, and the theme of the journey to salvation. The event, organized by the Opera della Metropolitana di Siena on the occasion of the Jubilee of Saint Francis, is divided into two periods: from June 27 to July 31 and from August 18 to November 15, 2026.

Documentary exhibition 'Il miracolo della ragione - Le votazioni del 1946 a Montepulciano'

The exhibition 'Il miracolo della ragione' reconstructs the birth of democracy in Montepulciano through official documents from the Municipal Historical Archive. The exhibition is set up on the first floor of the Town Hall and can be visited from June 28 to September 28, 2026. Original materials related to the referendum of June 2 and the administrative elections of October 6, 1946 are on display: electoral posters, polling station minutes, council resolutions, issues of the Araldo Poliziano, and the handwritten voter lists, surveyed farm by farm. The opening took place on Sunday, June 28, with a musical performance by singer-songwriter Letizia Fuochi. The initiative is part of the project 'Luoghi, uomini e donne in azione sul territorio poliziano nella Resistenza', supported by the Tuscany Region.
L'Altra Galleria. Acquisitions and Unveiled Works from the Civic Museums of San Gimignano

The exhibition presents nearly ninety works including paintings, sculptures, archival documents and artistic testimonies, coming from the deposits of the Civic Museums, recent acquisitions, donations and restorations. The exhibition route is divided into five thematic sections and spans over five centuries of artistic history. The exhibition is accompanied by a catalog and a calendar of conferences, guided tours and educational activities. The inauguration will be held on June 30, 2026 at 6:00 PM at the Santa Chiara Museum Complex.
